Bahrain's Golden License has covered factory expansion

An additional product line at an existing Bahrain factory can be relevant to a Golden License discussion.

Bahrain's government reported in November 2025 that Arla Foods' product-line expansion at its Bahrain facility was among the projects awarded Golden Licenses. That is a concrete example of an expansion receiving the license.

For a foreign manufacturer already operating in Bahrain, the implication is worth checking before deciding how to present the next investment phase. Describe the incremental production activity and investment separately from the existing business, then ask Bahrain EDB whether the proposed project fits the current criteria.

The Arla award does not establish eligibility for another company. Nor does the announcement prove that the expanded capacity is now operating.

It does provide a reason to assess an existing-site expansion on its own merits. Take the proposed project scope into the eligibility discussion while the investment design can still change.
